Bovin Tasting by Willy
Chardonnay 2005
Attractive light golden greenish typical Chardonnay colour. The most appealing well defined fruit nose of crispy citrus, pineapple, sweet honey and ripe apricots boosted with hints of green grass is expressively leaping out of my glass. This elegant concentrated seducer glides over my palate with gobs of fresh sweet exotic pineapple, orange zest and apricot citrus like fruits. Flirting with a discrete little creamy touch of mint in the 20 seconds lasting aftertaste. Lush, crisp, fresh and nicely covered acidity. Truly magnificent. Goody…Goody.
Riesling 2005
Polished shiny light transparent yellowish greenish in colour this superb Riesling thrills me with an expressive green grassy dry sweetish Riesling nose of white spring flowers and green apples with some exotic dried peachy fruit. Great definition melting good acidity and charming ripe exotic white fruits. Clean, fresh and crispy juice in perfect balance. Great summer wine. A yummy pleasure if I may say so!
Alexandar 2004
Nice vivid dark red brilliant colour. Well balanced racy blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Vranec. Beautiful evocative rich boosting perfumes of dark juicy jammy strawberry and black cherry forest fruit. Quite a bit of alcohol here. This obvious sun terroir driven fruit monster spoils my palate with super ripe full fleshy lush sour cherries, creamed raspberry and strawberry fruits. Oh gorgeous!!! An underlying abundant touch of caramel makes it even more complex. It has great dept and concentration. At its best at 17 an 18 degrees or this velvety star will bite you in the nose. How nice this wine will be in lets say 2 till 4 years.
Dissan 2003
We have clearly taken a step up in quality here. An impressive deep almost black dense colour followed by a fabulous attractive sweet unwrapping fragrant concentrated blackberry jam nose. Intense and utterly delicious. The palate is extremely powerful dominated by sensational silky fat over ripe succulent black forest fruits emerging from hints of liquorice. A full bodied wine at least. Opulent with lots of firm grip and good acidity giving the wine a harmonious structure. A blockbuster that needs still some 5 years to fully reveal himself. How sumptuous and classy this wine would be having some new oak?
